Employee Spotlight - Hannah Winter

June 7, 2021
At Siena Gardens we pride ourselves on being not only a provider of superior care but an exemplary employer. We aim to build a Culture of Care within our facility where every member knows their worth along with the importance of their role in the care of our patients. Whenever we can, we like to recognize our team and give them the opportunity to introduce themselves to our families and community. This Month we would like to shine our spotlight on Hannah Winter!

Meet Hannah:

"I have been working in Social Services since March of 2021, which is a new career path for me! For the majority of my work experience, I have been with kids in school, church, and other childcare oriented fields. When I started at Siena Gardens in November I was working as the Receptionist, which is where I was able to meet all of the wonderful families who come to visit. My position now is responsible for assessments that determine level of depression and cognition, I also assist with discharge planning and communication between the families and the residents’ needs here at the facility.

I grew up in Batavia, Ohio and lived there for 19 years until I moved to Jacksonville, Florida for school in 2016. I currently attend Southeastern University with a degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling which I will be graduating in December 2021. I have 2 cats named V and Winston.

I enjoy being creative whether in photography, drawing, or several other art outlets.

I have always enjoyed traveling and been blessed to go to places such as Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti on Mission/Humanitarian trips. As well as Peru, Arizona, DC, and California. This year I will be visiting new states such as Massachusetts, Maine, and Wisconsin.

My favorite part about working at Siena Gardens is knowing that I have the opportunity to spend intentional time with residents and their family members. I want to be able to communicate joy and excitement to each resident and allow them to feel seen and known as the unique individuals they are. Getting to express value and worth to other people is an exciting facet of working at Siena Gardens and I am eager to continue building relationships with the residents and family members. I can’t wait to meet you!"
