July Employee of the Month

Siena Gardens loves to celebrate our employees for their hard work and dedication to our facility. They continuously go out of their way to make a difference in the lives they serve, and we couldn't appreciate them more. This month, one of our team members stood out for the remarkable care she provides our residents. We would like to recognize one of our Nurses, Melinda Newman, as our July Employee of the Month!

Melinda has been with us at Siena Gardens since February 2022 and has been nothing but a positive asset ever since. She is so deserving of this award because she is a team player, is always willing to pick up extra shifts and our residents love her! Her co-workers shared that Melinda always has a smile on her face no matter what challenge she may be facing that day. She continues to show drive and passion, and we couldn't thank her enough for that.



Melinda grew up in Hillsboro, Ohio, and currently lives in Amelia. She is married to her best friend and is a mother to one daughter, two stepdaughters and one stepson. In her free time, Melinda enjoys camping with her family and three dogs. She also loves to cook and read. Something you may not know about Melinda is that she used to race horses competitively.

Melinda has been a Nurse for 22 years, graduating from Southern State Community College. She went into nursing because she loves caring for other people and bringing smiles to their faces. One of her favorite things about her job is interacting with the residents and their families. This is her motivation to come to work every day. We love that Melinda genuinely cares for each of her residents as if they are her own family.
