Meet Our Therapy Manager

Meet the Rehab Director and Speech Language Pathologist of Siena Gardens, Abby Ray! We have had the pleasure of having Abby with us since February 2023. Abby is spectacular at her job helping our residents get through their rehab program so they can head home stronger and more independent.

Abby Ray:

"I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for nine years and have nearly three years of experience as a Rehab Director. All my experience has been in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. I attended the University of Cincinnati for my undergraduate and master’s degree. I received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2012 with a minor in Deaf Studies and a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014.



In my current position, I am responsible for managing a team of five wonderful Therapists, maintaining a Speech Therapy caseload (evaluating and treating), as well as communicating with families and the entire disciplinary team to ensure we are meeting the patients' therapy needs. I love working at Siena Gardens! We have such a wonderful Therapy Team, Administrative Team, Nursing Team and Activities Department. I’m so incredibly thankful that I've been given the opportunity to join the team!

I grew up in Norwood, Ohio, and lived there for 25 years until I moved to Reading, Ohio. I was there for about four years until my family and I were lucky enough to purchase our forever home in Milford, Ohio. We’ve been in Milford for four years now and we absolutely love it! I have a wonderful fiancé; we have been together for 19 years and I have a beautiful 14-year-old daughter who is entering high school this year (yikes!). I also have three cats; Rosie, Jasmine and Janice. My family and I love to go boating and camping on the weekends. Our favorite places to go boating are Dale Hollow Lake and Cave Run Lake. Our favorite camping spots are Stone Lick and Kelley’s Island."
